Mindful Self-Compassion Training
The full training, individual and group sessions, workshops, retreats and supervision are available throughout the year.
The full 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) training consists of 8 2-hour weekly sessions, a half-day retreat plus handbook and audio guides. It is designed to help you learn and develop the
skill of self-compassion. MSC is a major development in Mindfulness approaches
that teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond
to difficult experiences in their lives with kindness, care and understanding.
Three key components of self-compassion are: self-kindness, a sense of common
humanity, and balanced, mindful awareness. Together they comprise a state of
warm-hearted, connected presence.
Self-compassion provides emotional strength and resilience, allowing us
to admit our shortcomings, motivate ourselves with kindness, forgive ourselves
when needed, relate wholeheartedly to others, and be more authentically

I have practiced meditation and mindfulness since 2004 and trained to
became a Mindfulness Teacher in 2009. Since 2012 I have had the good fortune to
be trained by the founders of MSC: Christopher Germer, Ph.D. and Kristin Neff,
Ph.D and the team at University San Diego Center for Mindful
Self-Compassion. I am qualified to teach Mindful-Self-Compassion Training
and am delighted to offer courses and workshops in Essex, East Anglia and
